SCVE - Take A Hike

January 3, 2019

WELCOME TO 2019!

Starkey and I took a little time off at the end of the year to rest and recharge for all the amazing adventures to come in the new year.

Look how rested we look! The ocean helped.

We aren’t resolution people. We are challenge, adventure seeking people and our yearly goal is to fill each month with new and exciting things we have never done and execute them throughout the year. This year, we want you to join us!

We are kicking off SoCal Vocal Experience's Take A Hike group hikes this year!  We invite you to join us in ditching technology for a few hours each week and enjoying San Diego from a new perspective. ALL are welcome on each hike whether you are an outdoor aficionado or an indoor enthusiast. The hike distances and levels of difficulty will vary each week. It doesn’t matter your level of experience!

Come and join us even if this is your first time EVER in nature.  Come join us if you are an ultra-marathoner.  Come join us if you are like Starkey and I (which is somewhere in the middle).  Each trail can accommodate those that want to walk, run, or a combo of both.

NEXT WEEKEND, January 12th, we will start with a San Diego staple hike, Cowles Mountain. Cowles Mountain is one of the most popular hikes in San Diego, due to some killer views. It has its share of steep switchbacks, but everyone from all-levels can complete it with determination and good company. And, while we are trying to “unplug”, it’s perfectly acceptable to snap some photos at the top because it’s definitely Instagrammable.

The view from the bottom is also great when you hike with friends.

Take a look below at January’s hike schedule for locations, start times, parking info, and links to give you more info on each hike. We will also have a Facebook event set for each hike where you can access this information including more details about each hike.
